Caught these folks at Noise Pop. Very worth the wait. They played some originals and many covers with an olde timey sensability. Like Patsy Cline or June Carter Cash - only hotter.
Zooey's voice & general aim seems sincere and overall seemed to captivate the audience. The audience was made up of about 2/3 indie girls with glasses, hats, or dresses -- their boyfriends, emo guys in bands, and dorky dudes swooning over Ms. Deschanel.
Groaningly bad stage banter aside (awkwardly she started with something to the effect of "San Francisco... I like this room....") - Seeing these folks was good fun & well worth it.
